Newer but not Better

I have had the worst time with this internet thing for the last few weeks. Our internet connection has gotten slower and slower. We think it's the new firewall we got. Now I don't know the first clue about computers, but I do know that new things are supposed to work better than the old thing. Not the case here. Ah well, the dear little Apple calls, and so I go. But just as a bit of a teaser, you should know that I've started on my Xmas knitting. And I've almost finished Grandma Purl's square.

Combi Part II

I broke my stroller last weekend by trying to stuff it under a turnstile at the train station. So today we bought a new one. I was certain I wasn't going to buy another Combi because I didn't like some things about it. But we found one that has bigger wheels and  taller skinnier profile, and I think I'll like this one better.

Yes, today is the 26th anniversary of the day of my birth. It's funny to me how we don't count the day we're born as a birthday. See, while I am 26 years old today, it is actually my 27th birthday. Wait. I don't want to be older. Don't say 27. I don't want to hear that. In fact, don't say 26 either. I'm still 25 *cough* and 12 months *cough*.

I've just returned from seein' Pirates of the Caribbean 2. It be the second time I seen it so ye might say it were Pirates of the Caribbean 2...2. Arrr. 'Twere a mite better the second time 'round and methinks a t'ird viewing may be required to slake my thirst for piratin'. Arrrr. Or perhaps I'll go on the account and scourge the Spanish Main meself, savvy?

I'm so happy! I'm elated! I'm queen of the world! That's right, I found my Apple's pinafore. My DH and I have a disease...didn't-look-hard-enough-itis. And also disorganized-osis.

In other news, the family and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean. Let me tell you, It was every bit as great as I thought it would be. Better, in fact because as much hype as there has been you'd think it might suck. It didn't. But now, I have to watch the first one again to check on some probable continuity issues, and then as you may guess I'll have to watch the new one again. Apple was good for most of the movie. DH took her out once to go to the wc, and twice more to run around. The show was at 11:30 am, which should've lined up nicely with her nap, but she napped early that day.
